Dumai Oleochemical Plant
This €300 million joint venture between Golden Agri-Resources (Sinar Mas Agribusiness) and Cepsa QuÃmica was completed in two years at the Lubuk Gaung Industrial Estate, Dumai. The plant produces 160,000 MT of fatty alcohol, 20,000 MT of fatty acids, and 20,000 MT of glycerine annually.
Strategically designed for efficiency and sustainability, the facility uses palm kernel oil from nearby plantations, cutting transport emissions and supporting the local economy. It has created over 300 direct jobs, boosted export opportunities, and strengthened the region’s industrial capacity.
